About Ray
Hi, I’m Ray.
I’m a papa who’s happiest when my hands are busy and life slows down a little. I’ve spent a lot of my life in the garage. Behind a camera too. And when the weather’s right, next to a grill. Funny how those always seem to be the places where the good moments show up.
Photography helps me pay attention. Sometimes I’m working on a project, sometimes I just notice something that makes me stop and look twice. I’m not chasing perfect pictures. Never have been. I just like saving the kind of moments that feel like they might mean something later.
The garage has always been part of my life. I grew up around engines, tools, workbenches, and people who believed the best way to learn something was to try it and see what happens. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn’t, but that’s how you figure things out. A lot of good stories seem to start in places like that.
When the weather’s right, I’m usually outside cooking. Nothing fancy. Just food on the grill, a chair nearby, and somebody standing around talking while things cook. I’ve always liked that. Nobody’s in a hurry, nobody’s trying to impress anybody, and somehow those end up being the moments you remember the most.
This site is just a place for me to share pieces of life as I remember them. Stories, photos, old projects, things I probably should’ve thrown away but didn’t, and the memories that go with them. I’m not here as an expert. I just enjoy the process, and every now and then I like telling the story that comes with it.
Thanks for stopping by.
There’s always room for one more.
